I believe that everything begins with my clients’ objectives and we go from there. Whether these lead us to focus primarily on a conservative wealth preservation strategy, on the early steps of wealth-building, or on a more complex growth-oriented path, the most crucial element of my work with my clients is ensuring that we all know where we want to end up!
With the objectives in mind, we develop a comprehensive written plan, with appropriate milestones and triggers — our road map. Then I guide my clients in the process of selecting, among the myriad of products and tools available, the ones that make the most sense in their situation.
I strongly value guiding my clients to become more discriminating users of financial products and services by helping them understand the ins and outs of the choices they are making. Honest, open communication and a commitment to earning my clients’ trust helps us develop a meaningful, productive relationship.
Investment Philosophy & Strengths
I began my working life in nursing, focusing on the well-being of patients and their families. To this day, with more than 30 years in the financial industry serving clients both directly and indirectly, that early experience is still a very strong influence on me. I remain a great believer that one’s financial situation is a major factor in one’s overall health. Managing one’s money in a healthy way contributes to stress reduction and personal well-being and I believe that the contribution of a knowledgeable, caring advisor can be significant.
Achieving balance between what is needed today and what is needed tomorrow and understanding all the factors that go into building a life are approaches I feel are necessary for true financial success.
I grew up in Quebec City, moved to Montreal as a young adult to study first theater, then English literature, and finally nursing, and have been here ever since. I got my first real job in the financial industry and went on to add an MBA to my academic portfolio. When I am not working, you will find me out and about — walking, cycling, or cross-country skiing — or at home, busy making art quilts or relaxing with my well-loved cats and my husband in our Montreal West Island home.
